Set-up TDTU email

G Suite with web browser

The web interface and features of G Suite email are similar to that of free Gmail. If your are familiar with Gmail before, then you can start using email on G Suite.

To access your G Suite account from your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, ...):

  • Start your favorite browser
  • Type: (if you are staff user); Type: (if you are student user)
  • Type your username (username only, not full TDTU email address), click Next
  • Type you password, click Next.

You are directed to G Suite email interface.

Note: If you are currently signed in with another Google account on the same browser, you can add your G Suite account by click your name on the top-right of the interface, select Add account and sign-in with your full TDTU email address (*** or ***

G Suite with mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird,...)

To access G Suite email from mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, ...) you need to do 2 steps:

Step 1: Enable IMAP access on G Suite account

Step 2: Add G Suite account to mail client with following parameters:

  • Mailbox access protocol: IMAP
  • Incoming mail (IMAP)
  • Requires SSL: Yes
  • Port: 993
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:
  • Requires SSL: Yes
  • Requires TLS: Yes (nếu mail client có hỗ trợ)
  • Requires Authentication: Yes
  • Port: 465 (SSL), 587 (TLS/STARTTLS)
